With Adult Martial arts, stay active and improve your overall health
Our Jiu Jitsu and Taekwondo programs are the best way to stay fit and lead a more balanced lifestyle
Aside from our world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program, we offer an adults martial arts program with roots in Tae Kwon Do, kickboxing, Boxing, and Muay Thai. Master JAO has over 35 years of experience with these striking disciplines, and has tailored the classes to be much more than a cardio kickboxing workout. The program emphasizes technical striking from all of these styles and is not limited to the structure of just one discipline. The classes focus on precise and technical striking drills, targets, partner drills, sparring, self defense, and conditioning. Whether doing striking classes alone, or as a supplement to Jiu Jitsu training you will enjoy the benefits of a stronger and healthier mind and body.

As you age, your muscles begin to age, too, and may lose some of their density and strength. This is why it is important to keep your muscles in use and to work on strengthening them. When you take an adult martial arts class, your muscles will be in constant use, helping them to stay strong. In addition, you will also build greater muscle mass, which in turn will give your body a more toned, healthy appearance.

Adult martial arts classes require you to remain active, which will keep you burning the calories and losing weight. Additionally, as previously discussed, you will be building muscle mass, which will also help you to improve your metabolism and allow you to burn more calories at a rapid pace. You’ll be able to fight off obesity with ease.

For many adults, a toned, lean body is enough reason for increased confidence; however, the self-defense skills that are taught in martial arts can also help your self-assurance. If you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation, you will be better able to manage your emotions and not be afraid. Knowing that you have the skills necessary to protect yourself from harm will help you to be confident and act in a more effective manner, even during the most troubling of times.

It’s easy for adults to feel overwhelmed and stressed out. Between work, kids, and general household duties, it seems like the worries never end. By taking an adult martial arts class, you will be able to blow off some steam and relieve yourself of some of life’s stresses in a healthy and efficient manner. The more you participate in martial arts, the calmer you will be.

Martial arts requires great skill and concentration. You will learn to act fast in order to defend yourself against your opponent’s attacks. This will not only help you to improve your reflexes, but your concentration, as well. You will be required to focus with intensity on details and anticipate your opponent’s next move before they’ve even blinked.
ADULTS LOVE OUR MARTIAL ARTS PROGRAM
Our Martial Arts curriculum program is customized for adult men and women. Unlike a children’s program, adult programs focus on high-intensity fitness and real self-defense that applies in today’s world.

Most adults can only do so many aerobic classes or run so many solo miles before they start dreaming of something more enjoyable and exciting to do to stay in shape. Our program is a great way to stay in shape that doesn’t become dull or routine because as you get better and learn more there are always more challenges ahead to keep you inspired and coming back to the school.
Men and women often join to for the ability to take care of oneself in any potentially dangerous, or uncomfortable situation, even though most of our adults seldom, if ever, get into a fighting situation. They often find themselves, however, in an uncomfortable situation, such as walking to their car late at night, or escorting their spouse or friend in a less than secure neighborhood. It’s at times like this that martial arts training greatly enhances your self-confidence because of the ability to really take care of yourself, or someone you care for, when the time arises.
These fitness based martial arts for adults classes will help you reach your stated goals. Running and mountain biking are great activities but if that’s all you do for fitness you may end up limiting your flexibility. Because these activities are basically “linear” in nature they don’t challenge you to develop in all the areas of fitness. That is why most professional athletes cross train outside of their chosen sport. There is nothing like martial arts training to develop you to your maximum potential both physically and mentally.
